Wallet Checklists
The six-stage review sequence we use in every dormant wallet session.
The six-stage review sequence we use in every dormant wallet session.
Our checklists are printed for each session and adapted to the holder’s device count. The stages below describe the standard sequence.
List every device, paper backup, and steel capsule in your possession. Record model, firmware version, and the date each item was last accessed. Cross off anything you no longer hold.
Document where each backup copy lives — home safe, bank box, relative's residence. Note who else knows each location and whether access requires coordination.
Verify three randomly selected words from each backup against the device display. You perform the reading; the reviewer confirms the sequence and records pass or flag status.
Compare receive addresses in your records against those shown on each device. Flag any unlabelled addresses or change outputs from past transactions.
Confirm that passphrase notes, PIN reminders, and hidden-wallet labels still match your current scheme. Note any references to deprecated formats.
Compile items needing attention before your next cycle. Set a tentative review date and note any life events that should trigger an earlier check.
